Wow, it’s still hard to believe that 2015 Rock’n’Roll Seattle marathon – a race that occupied my mind and my training log for the past five months – is already behind us! Month 4 of Rock’n’Roll Seattle Marathon Training: the Finish Line is Getting Closer!

So I’m officially entering the final stretch of my training for Rock’n’Roll Seattle marathon, and today it’s time for me to share with you the highlights of my vegan training in month 4. Rock’n’Roll Seattle Marathon Training, Month 3 Update: New Surroundings, Running in the Wild, and an Unexpected Injury

…Okay, when is an injury ever expected? But anyway, can you believe that I’m already more than halfway into my Rock’n’Roll Seattle marathon training?! Month 3 was eventful, to say the least: you may remember me mentioning in my previous marathon training update that Rob and I were moving into a new house in a different neighborhood, so that alone brought so many new experiences. Rock’n’Roll Seattle Marathon Training, Month 2: Ups and Downs, Snacking Extravaganza, and Legs that Don’t Run in Sync

Believe it or not, it’s time for the second update on my Seattle Rock’n’Roll marathon training! Time flies when you’re having fun – and so did month two out of five of my marathon preparation. I’ve proven to myself before that it’s possible to train for a marathon as a vegan, so this time around, I’ve set to prove that one can balance marathon training with working a full-time job. Pensacola Marathon Recap: What I Learned from Running My First Marathon Since Going Vegan

Wow – I can’t believe Pensacola Marathon is already over! This past Sunday, 11/10/2013, I’ve completed my Vegan Marathon Challenge – something that I’ve been working on for sixteen weeks as I trained for my first marathon (my second overall) since going vegan to show that regular people like myself can accomplish serious athletic goals like running a marathon just fine on a vegan diet. Another little milestone: I started this blog on the first day of my marathon training, and I can really see how it got better week after week, and now it even kind of looks like I know what I’m doing 😉 . Weeks 15 and 16 of Marathon Training. Race Day is Almost Here!

Sharon Stone reportedly once compared her expectations of working in a movie with James Woods to the expectations of a pregnant woman: at first she’s very excited, sometime midway she feels like she’s made the biggest mistake of her life, and towards the end she just wants it all to be over. Well, I have neither worked with James Woods nor expected a child (yet), but at this point I have very similar feelings towards training for my marathon. Which is only three days away now! Week 14 of Marathon Training: All is not Lost!

Week 14 of my marathon training plan also happened to be the first full week that we spent home after almost a month of being away (1 week vacation followed by 3-week-long trip to Seattle area). I was glad to be back to my old routine of blogging, cooking, running, and being amazed at how fast the time flies by when I’m busy! I’ve also managed to sell three sock monkey toys from my side business on Etsy (I sew classic Rockford Red Heel sock monkeys and other animals completely by hand and ship them anywhere in the world). Holidays are around the corner, so things are picking up on Etsy! The good news: my foot injury that I acquired in Seattle hasn’t bothered me since we returned home, so I was able to resume my marathon training!
