New Review and Giveaway: Munk Pack Protein Cookies and Oatmeal Squeeze Pouches

  • 14

As you know, I’m always on a lookout for great vegan-friendly products. When I find something I really like, I always want to spread the word about it. Recently I received a box of samples from Munk Pack – a company that makes plant-based protein cookies and portable oatmeal snack pouches. I didn’t know what to expect when I opened the package, but after tasting the cookies and the oatmeal I was impressed! So today I’d like to tell you about this company and their products, and invite you to join a giveaway that Munk Pack and I will be hosting for the next week!

Vegan protein cookies and oatmeal packs by Munk PackMunk Pack is a US-based company whose founders love adventures in the great outdoors, which brought them to the idea of making tasty portable snacks. Michelle, one of the co-owners of the company, has had a history of food sensitivities and chronic fatigue, so she was inspired to create snacks that were free of gluten, soy, dairy or sugar alcohols and also happened to be vegan.

I’m usually not a fan of protein cookies: a lot of the ones I’ve tried tasted too protein powder-y to me, plus the texture is often too gummy or too crumbly. This is what impressed me about the Munk Pack protein cookies: their flavors were exactly like what you’d expect from a tasty, not necessarily “healthy” cookie from a bakery, without any weird textures or aftertastes other protein cookies may have. Even my husband Rob, a very honest food critic by nature, gave them a thumbs-up! The Coconut White Chip Macadamia was our mutual favorite, and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip was a close second.Organic plant-based protein cookies by Munk PackA word on protein in these cookies: Munk Pack uses brown rice protein, which is easier on the stomach than some other plant-based protein varieties.

Besides protein cookies, Munk Pack also makes portable oatmeal pouches in a variety of flavors. I’ve seen a lot of squeezable snack pouches but never thought of oatmeal as an option for those. I’m a big fan of oatmeal myself (overnight oats have been my #1 breakfast option for years), but I know that it can be a bit underwhelming in the flavor department. To my surprise, the Munk Pack oatmeal pouches were loaded with flavor from a variety of fun mix-ins like real fruit and berries. Even an oatmeal skeptic’s palate will be impressed 🙂

Portable oatmeal fruit squeeze packs by Munk PackThe oats used for these oatmeal pouches are certified gluten-free, and all ingredients are NON-GMO Project verified. Munk Pack also adds ground flax for a boost of omega-3 fatty acids. I can see these pouches as a great option for a quick on-the-go snack, or a grab-and-go breakfast for those of us who want to eat healthy but don’t have time for a proper breakfast in the morning.

Wondering where you can buy these oatmeal pouches and protein cookies? Take a look at the store locator over here, or order them directly from their website or Amazon.
