Alina first made a switch to a vegan diet in 2013 to optimize her athletic performance as a marathon runner. Being vegan eventually opened her eyes on the issues of animal welfare, environmental protection, human rights and feminism. Alina hopes that her blog will help its readers on their path to making this world a better place.
I’m two weeks in into my marathon training, so in this post I’m going to recap how the second week went, as well as share with you a secret of my new favorite energy source! Hint hint: it’s been around all along! This week went by very quickly, and fairly uneventful. My running mileage isn’t very high these days – since I replace 2 days of short runs on my … Read the rest of the post →
In the previous article, we covered the differences between species according to their preferences in food sources. If you watched the highly informative video in which Milton Mills, M.D., delivered a speech for the Vegetarian Society of Hawaii, you might have gotten an idea of where we humans fall in this paradigm. And as it is in the beginning of any new road, I see that I’ve … Read the rest of the post →

I’ve read so many awesome articles on all kind of blogs devoted to veganism/plant-based nutrition/nutritarian approach, watched numerous videos and documentaries on the subject, etc – that about two months ago (in May 2013) I finally ditched … Read the rest of the post →
